The 2015–16 Scottish Premiership is the third season of the Scottish Premiership, the highest division of Scottish football. Celtic won title in fifth consecutive season, 47th in club history.
Champions qualified for Champions League qualifying round. They lost only four games, scored 93 goals and gained 86 points. Second Aberdeen finished second with 71 points, Heart of Midlothian third with 65. Both teams enter Europa League qualifying round. First 6 team in regular season enter title group and other 6 teams plays relegation group. They play 5 games against teams from their group. Dundee United were relegated.
Celtic´s striker Leigh Griffiths became the top-scorer of the league. He scored 31 times. Kane Hemmings scored 21 times and Adam Rooney 21 times. Aberdeen recorded 12 matches in a row without losing. In January Celtic beat Hamilton Academica 8:1. Celtic´s rivals Rangers were promoted to Premiership.

Champions bought winger Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa for 4,10 Mill. € and right back Cristian Gamboa playing fo West Brom for 1,20 Mill. €. Talented forward Moussa Dembélé joined club from Fulham for free, same as Liverpool´s veteran Kolo Toure. Midfielder Stefan Johansen left the club for Fulham (2,30 Mill. €). Blackburn got left-back Charlie Mulgrew for free.
Rangers bought forward Joe Garner for 1,73 Mill. €. The club got veterans Niko Kranjcar, midfielder Joey Barton and goalkeeper Matt Gilks for free. Birmingham bought Greg Stewart playing for Dundee FC (600 Th. €). Kilmarnock lost their striker Josh Magennis. He joined Charlton for 300 Th. €. Aberdeen got Norwich´s talent James Maddison on loan.
