Portugal Primeira Liga 2015/2016The 2015–16 Primeira was the 82nd season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs.

Benfica won their third consecutive title and 35th title in club history. They finished with 88 points, 2 points more than Sporting. Both teams enter Champions League group stage. Third Porto achieved 73 points and enters Champions League qualifying. Braga finished with 58 points. They will play in Europa League next year. Arouca and Rio Ave enter Europa League qualifying stage. União da Madeira and Académica were relegated to LigaPro.

Benfica´s Jonas became the top-scorer the league. He scored 32 goals. Islam Slamini scored 27 goals and Konstantinos Mitroglou 20. Nicolás Gaitán assisted on 15 Benfica´s goals. Porto and Benfica both recorded 14 unbeaten games run. In average 50,322 spectators attended Benfica´s matches. Tondela´s attendance grew up by 336% this season. Jonas was chosen as a best player of the season, Rui Patrício was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the season.

he Champions bought Rafa Silva for £12.75m from Braga. Their Central Midfield Renato Sanchez left the club for Bayern (£29.75m). Left wing Nico Gaitán joined Atletico Madrid (£21.25m). Sporting purchased Wolfsburg´s striker Bas Dost for £8.50m. Their midfielder João Mário joined Inter for £34.00m. Top-scorer Islam Slamini left the club for Leicester (£25.50m). Porto bought Brazilian Alex Telles (£5.53m). Maicon left the club for São Paulo (£5.10m).

Braga bought midfielder Marko Bakic (£1.19m). Lazio bought their centre back Wallace and Porto another centre back Willy Boly. Atletico Madrid bought Left wing Diogo Jota playing for Pacos De Ferreira (£6.12m). Striker Léo Bonatini left Estiril for Hilal (£4.25m). Two players left Vitoria Guimaraes both for £1.70m. Dalbert joined Nice and Cafú Lorient.
