German Bundesliga 2015/2016The 2015–16 Bundesliga was the 53rd season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football competition. Bayern Munich won their 24th Bundesliga title, fourth in a row and seventh in last 10 seasons.

Borussia Dortmund finished second, losing 10 points for first place. Third Bayer Leverkusen qualified for Champions League. Borussia Mönchengladbach enters Champions League qualifying. Schalke 04 and Mainz 05 will play in Europa League next season. Hertha BSC have to play qualifying round to achieve place in Europa League. VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96 are relegated to 2. Bundesliga. Eintracht Frankfurt finishing 16th faces 3th 2. Bundesliga team in two-legged relegation play-off. Frankfurt tied in first match, won second match and achieved participation in Bundesliga next season. 

Robert Lewandowski became top scorer of the season with 30 goals. In match against Wolfsburg, he scored 5 goals in just 9 minutes. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored 25 goals, Thomas Müller 20. Henrikh Mkhitaryan assisted on 25 goals.

Current champions Bayern Munich bought Dortmund´s center back Mats Hummels and Renato Sanches playing for Benfica, both for £29.75m. Their attacking midfielder Mario Götze returned to Dortmund for £18.70m. Dortmund purchased André Schürrle for £25.50m. Barcelona´s Marc Bartra joined club for £6.80m. Dortmund lost Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gündogan (£22.95m) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£35.70m).

Bayer Leverkusen purchased TSG Hoffenheim´s Kevin Volland for £17.00m. Aleksandar Dragovic joined club for £15.30m. Borussia Mönchengladbach bought Christoph Kramer (£12.75m) and Jannik Vestergaard (£10.63m). Arsenal bought their Granit Xhaka for £38.25m. Striker Breel Embolo joined Shalke 04 for £23.38m. Leroy Sané left the club. Machester City paid £42.50m.

Hamburger FC bought Stuttgard´s left wing Filip Kostic for £11.90m. Former Leicester player Andrej Kramaric joined Hoffenheim for £8.50m. New member of Bundesliga – Leipzig bought Naby Keïta for £12.75m.
