Spanish La Liga 2015/2016The 2015–16 La Liga football season was the 85th since its establishment. Barcelona won title in second consecutive season. It was their 24th La Liga title. Barcelona overtook lead in 21th round and stuck in that position till the end of the season.

Barcelona won league with 91 points and impressive score 112:29. Real Madrid achieved 90 points, third ended up Atletico with 88 points. Fourth Villarreal enters Champions League qualifying. Athletic Bilbao and Celta Vigo qualified for Europa League group stage. Rayo Vallecano, Getafe and Levante were relegated to Segunda División. In average, 2.74 goals per single match were scored.

Luis Suárez finished as the top scorer with 40 goals and 16 assists. Ronaldo scored 35 goals, Messi 26. Average attendance on single match was 27,775 spectators. The best goalkeeper of the season has been announced Jan Oblak. He conceded just 18 goals in 38 matches and received The Zamora Trophy. Biggest win of the season is Real Madrid 10–2 Rayo Vallecano. Barcelona recorded 23 games unbeaten run.

Transfer window

Spanish giants did not spend huge amount of money during summer transfer window as usual. Barcelona bought midfielder André Gomes for 35,00 Mill. €, centre back Samuel Umtiti (25,00 Mill. €). Atletico purchased Kévin Gameiro playing for Sevilla (32,00 Mill. €). They got Nico Gaitán for 25,00 Mill. € as well. The club sold Borja Bastón to Swansea for 18,00 Mill. €.

Villarreal bought Sampdoria´s player Roberto Soriano for 14,10 Mill. €. Manchester United bought their centre back Eric Bailly for 38,00 Mill. €. PSG signed Sevilla´s midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak for 33,60 Mill. €. Watford bought Isaac Success playing for Granada. Nolito playing for Celta Vigo joined Manchester City for 18,00 Mill. €. Real Sociaded spent 7,00 Mill. € on keeper Gerónimo Rulli. Nani owned by Valencia joined Fenerbahce.
